Lee M. Cohen is the founder and Managing Partner of L.M. Cohen & Company, the New York City-based audit, tax and advisory firm he started in 2010. In Lee’s 25-year career he has gained extensive corporate accounting experience across many industries including wholesale, real estate, and high net worth individuals. He entered the accounting firm world in 1999 with a mid-size firm and was responsible for the successful opening and growth of its New York City office. He later joined another mid-sized New York City firm as a lead partner, before starting L.M. Cohen & Company. Lee has overseen the growth of the company to where today it enjoys a reputation as one the leading boutique accounting firms in the greater New York. In addition to his role as Managing Partner, where he sets the strategic direction of the firm, Lee has a passion for collaboratively working with clients to help their businesses grow. Lee’s professional experience also includes the oversight of financial statement preparation, corporate, state and local, and personal income tax preparation and general business advisor. Lee is a graduate of NYU receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).
